  1. The Bottleneck

    What was broken?

Syria's livestock sector runs on degraded inputs and expensive, unreliable energy, leaving farmers and breeders with low-quality feed and shrinking margins.

  2. The Move

    Why it worked

Clean-energy-powered production of nutrition-focused feed: sustainable inputs made with reliable energy where the grid cannot reach, sold to a large underserved base of breeders.

  3. The Trap

    Battle scars

Scaling production capacity across conflict-damaged logistics, keeping costs controlled for price-sensitive farmers, and developing new formulations for local market needs.

The problem

Syria’s livestock breeders — a backbone of rural livelihoods — have watched feed quality collapse alongside the country’s infrastructure: degraded inputs, diesel-dependent production, and no reliable electricity to run modern processing. Farmers pay more for worse nutrition, and animal productivity falls with it.

How it works

Founded in 2024 by Mostafa Halabya, Nutra-GreeniX builds sustainable, nutrition-focused solutions for the livestock sector that are powered by clean energy and environmentally friendly farming practices. The company manufactures feed inputs without depending on the broken grid, then scales support outward to farmers and breeders across the country.

Pain points

Expensive diesel-based production, blackout-prone processing, poor-quality imported or improvised feed, and small breeders with no access to modern animal nutrition — the frictions clean-energy manufacturing removes at the source.

Business model

Straightforward product economics: manufacture livestock-nutrition inputs and sell them to farmers and breeders, reinvesting in production capacity and new formulations tuned to what local herds actually need.

Challenges

Production scale-up across damaged logistics networks is the core risk; agri-input margins are thin and farmers are price-sensitive, so cost control decides everything. New formulations must prove themselves herd by herd, and early-stage investing in a fragile market leaves no room for a slow ramp.

Funding

  • Raised: $200,000 seed round (Feb 2026), led by EBLA Ventures with Syrian and Saudi angel investors — earmarked for expanding operations, production capacity, new technologies, and team growth.
  • Valuation: none disclosed.

Latest — February 2026

On 10 February 2026 Wamda reported the $200,000 seed close, one of the first cheques linking diaspora and regional capital to on-the-ground production inside Syria, with the company planning to grow its team and extend services to breeders across the country.
